Perth SIGiST – 1 May 2018 – All Round a Success

SIGiST3

ANZTB recently ran a round-table discussion forum as one of the regular Special Interest Groups in Software Testing (SIGiST) in Perth.

Five tables were organised, each with a different topic, and attendees cycled through to a different table every 12 minutes to give them the opportunity to contribute to discussions on each topic.  Each table had a facilitator that had expert knowledge in the topic to share their experiences and ensure that everyone was included in the discussion.  We had people from different backgrounds, which enabled participants to learn different perspectives on the topic.

The topics addressed were:

  • Hackathons
  • LinkedIn for Testers
  • Disruption in testing due to Agile & DevOps
  • Getting started with automation
  • Future of Testing

In the refreshment break people were able to network with some food and drinks and many people stayed after the event to continue discussions.

Feedback received was very good where comments were made around it being a great social tool and way to learn of others’ experiences.  We would encourage you to come along to the next event.

Thanks to everyone who came along and a special thank you to the facilitators who gave up their time to support this event.

SIGiST’s are held in many cities across Australia and New Zealand and are free to attend.  Or why not volunteer to give a presentation?  Contact your local ANZTB facilitator for more information.
