The Auckland SIGiST event for this quarter was a great success with over 120 attendees.
The first presenter Pramod Bommisetty from Barfoot and Thompson presented on the three Ws (What, When and Why) of test automation in the cloud. He explained the advantages, like better handling of scalability, instant access, portability with very little overhead and low cost. He discussed the challenges and risks related to cloud tools. A great crowd at the Sydney ANZTB SIGIST on Tuesday night, with standing room only at one stage.
The two topics Test Automation and Testing careers were certainly trending areas of conversation, which were a big draw for the evening. The Australia and New Zealand Testing Board (ANZTB) facilitates free Special Interest Groups in Software Testing (SIGIST) events in capital cities throughout Australia and New Zealand. Another successful SIGIST was held in Melbourne on July 27. We’d like to thank everybody who attended given the cold, wintery weather. It was great to see so many familiar faces and some new ones turn out to enjoy some food, a few drinks, networking and of course to hear about happenings in Software Testing around Australia.
